The construction was financed entirely by donations. Almost 20,000 euros flowed into the account of Waldhilfe e.V., the project sponsor, which itself contributed a basic fund of 3,000 euros. Lord Mayor Emanuel Letz thanked Waldhilfe, the donors and the project team for the \"gift that visitors to the recreational area will enjoy\".
