Mayor Dr. Heike Kaster-Meurer, who was out of town due to an appointment, was represented by J\u00fcrgen Cron, Head of Municipal and Central Services, who accepted the demand from Thomas Rockel, Chairman of the Works Council of Stadtbus GmbH. In order to secure jobs, the city should become a municipal sponsor of public transport. This issue is currently politically controversial.
